Boston Town made it four wins in a row as they beat Quorn 4-3 in a seven-goal spectacular.
The Leicestershire-based side began their season by knocking Ian Dunn and Matt Hocking’s side out of the FA Cup at Tattershall Road.
But on Saturday, the Poachers exacted revenge in their home UCL Premier fixture.
“We blasted out of the traps,” said Dunn after watching his side go 3-0 ahead after just 24 minutes.
Ollie Pinner, Ben Good and Josh Ford hit those goals.
But it wasn’t always such a comfortable afternoon for Town.
Quorn - whose squad has undergone an overhaul in recent weeks - scored either side of the interval to put pressure on the home side.
However, Callum Stocks netted a vital goal before Quorn added a third at the death.
“They’re good going forward, but it was another great result,” Dunn added.
