Alec Robinson will play his last match for Boston Town today.
After this afternoon’s UCL Premier clash against S&L Corby, the midfielder will walk out of Tattershall Road for the final time this season as he flies out to the USA to resume work as a football coach.
And with striker Ben Good also injured, the Poachers are hoping to bring in ‘one or two’ new faces this week.
“We’re looking to have one or two in by Saturday,” joint boss Ian Dunn said.
“We’re looking towards next season, we need to be lookin forward.”
Dunn is hoping his new acquisitions - if they come off - will be able to gel with the current squad for the final few macthes of the campaign, enabling the club to hit the ground running next season.
Left back Lawrence Heward is also expected to make his debut today (KO 3pm) after joining from Cleethorpes Town.
“We’ve exceeded a lot of people’s expectations this season, a lot of younger lads have stepped up superbly,” Dunn continued.
“They’ve got a lot of experience from this season and it will help them next year.
“Of course we’ll lose two or three in the summer, that’s football.
“But if we can keep the core together and bring in three, four or five decent players then we’ll be ina good position next year.”
