Boston Town were beaten by table-topping Daventry - but they gave their rivals a scare.

Boss Gary Edgley handed a debut to Marcel Chipamaunga at the DWB Stadium as he hoped to mastermind a victory at the expense of the United Counties League Premier Division pacesetters.

However, the gulf between first and 18th-place was shown as early as the fifth minute as the Purple Army took the lead.

But battling Boston fought their way back ino the game, Robert Raducan drawing them level 11 minutes after the interval.

The Poachers looked as if they may cause an upset but, with 10 minutes to go, Daventry made sure of the three points with a late winner.
