Boston Town have added goalkeeper Ricky Drury and left back Nick Jackson to their ranks.
The former Boston United players have both agreed to join up with joint bosses Ian Dunn and Matt Hocking at Tattershall Road next season.
“Very pleased to have signed for @bostontownfc today. Really looking forward to the new season! “enjoyingfootballonceagain,” Drury wrote on Twitter earlier today.
Although spending last season as United’s second-choice stopper, he ended the campaign on loan at the Poachers’ UCL Premier rivals Sleaford Town.
He was frustrated to become the club’s forgotten man, not even being named on either the retained or released lists which United posted at the end of the campaign.
However, Dunn hopes his keeper will show his true potential next season.
“We want the keeper to be our number one all season. It’s a position where we are looking for stability,” he said. Indeed, last season Town used eight different keepers, as well as Ollie Pinner having a stint in the sticks following an injury to Callum Bastock.
Jackson was a product of the York Street youth system.
He made 13 first team appearances and has since turned out for Stamford and Deeping Rangers.
His online announcement was a little more candid, just writing: “#poacher.”
Although both players have pledged their futures to the club, they cannot officially be registered until July 1.
