BOSTON Town could have a massive say in the United Counties League Premier Division title race tomorrow (Saturday).
The Poachers host Long Buckby at Tattershall Road (KO 3pm) – and victory, or even a draw, could almost hand the championship to King’s Lynn.
After the weekend’s round of matches, Lynn sat six points clear at the top of the table, with a superior goal difference of three.
However, things took a dramatic twist on Wednesday night when Buckby’s most recent trip to Lincolnshire saw them return from Blackstones with a thumping 11-1 victory.
They now have a superior seven-goal advantage and sit just three points behind the Linnets – with a game in hand.
However, Boston will not wish to be rolled over in a similar manner, and Phil Jones’ men will still be hoping to put a dent in Buckby’s title ambitions.
They have already held Lynn to a 1-1 draw at Tattershall Road this campaign – with a goal from Jammal Shahin - and would love to show their intentions against another side pushing for promotion.
Town lost 3-0 at Buckby earlier this season.
On Saturday, King’s Lynn host Desborough.
