The Poachers were knocked out of the Lincs Senior Trophy by Rangers on Tuesday night in a contest packed with late controversy.

The scores were level until Deeping were awarded an 86th-minute penalty, Henry Dunn converting.

Lori Borbely was dismissed for dissent before Dan Schiavi doubled the Rangers lead.

But now Gary Edgley is hoping his squad can grab a swift revenge.

Today’s contest at the DWB Stadium (KO 3pm) will see Town keen to get their home form back on track following their recent 3-0 defeat to Harborough.

Deeping won the reverse UCL Premier fixture at the Haydon Whitham Stadium in October, goals from Danny Durkin, Daniel Flack, Scott Mooney and Billy Stubbs cancelling out Jordan Tate’s strike in a contest which saw the hosts’s Dunn sent off late on.
