Boston Town joint-manager Ian Dunn wants his Poachers to take the game to Wellingborough from the off.

The Poachers host the Doughboys at Tattershall Road today (KO 3pm).

And Dunn says it is vital to start well.

He said: “They’ve improved from last year. They’ve brought in a few new players.

“But we’re targeting three points from the match.

“Wellingborough are the sort of side who can get their tails up if they start well, so we have to make them work.

“We need to get the upper hand early on.”

Wellingborough currently sit four places ahead of Town in the UCL Premier table, in 12th.

However, a home victory could see Boston leapfrog them.

Town finished last season with a 2-1 defeat to this afternoon’s opponents.
