Boston Town need a shut-out, says Dunn

Ian Dunn has challenged his Boston Town side to keep their first clean sheet of the season.

The Poachers travel to face AFC Kempston Rovers in the UCL Premier today, searching for their first league victory.

After home defeats to Cogenhoe United (3-1) and Spalding United (3-0) Boston got off the mark by beating Great Yarmouth Town 3-2 in the FA Cup extra-preliminary round last Saturday.

But after shipping eight goals in three matches, Dunn wants better.

He said: “We’ll go there looking to win. We want three points to get off the mark.

“But it’s important we keep a clean sheet, that makes the job easier for us.”

But that means Town being at their best, as Dunn believes the Walnut Boys can pose a threat.

He added: “We expect the same from them as we got last season.

“They’ve added two or three new players. But they always work hard and they’re quick on the break.”

Kick off is at 3pm.
