Boston United add double promotion winner Joe Leesley to squad

Boston United have brought in promotion expert Joe Leesley on loan - and the winger could feature at Darlington tonight.

The 26-year-old was part of the Harrogate Town squad which won last season’s National League play-off final against Notts County at Wembley, and scored the third goal in Town’s 3-0 win over Brackley in the 2017-18 National League North promotion finale.

Leesley, a former Harrogate teammate of Jordan Thewlis, has arrived on loan until January and looks set to play a part in this evening’s clash against the Quakers (KO 7.45pm), which pits two in-form sides against one another.The former England C international featured for Winterton Rangers, Matlock Town and Alfreton Town before moving to Wetherby Road in 2016.

Leesley had spells on loan at Stockport County and League Two Stevenage Borough last season.
