Boston United club captain Jay Rollins wants to give York Street a fitting send off
The Pilgrims play their final ever match at the historic ground after 87 years when they host Altrincham in the National League North play-off final on Saturday.
And the flying winger, who suffered heart-break with United following defeat to North Ferriby in the 2016 semi-finals, says they must go out with a bang.

“As club captain it is a special feeling. I have been here five years and this is my first final with the club.
“I have had a semi-final defeat and it is not a nice feeling and hopefully I can end it with a win and promotion.
“Everyone thought nothing was going to happen with the rest of the season during lockdown, and then it sprung upon us and we were back.

Rollins, who is the club’s longest serving player, smashed home a 20 yard beauty to put Boston 3-2 up as they went on to defeat Gateshead in last weekend’s semi-final after an eight goal thriller.
It was the perfect timing for a player who feels he should be scoring more often.
“I have been getting a bit of stick on penalties, so I said I would have to score in open play,” he said.

“I feel like I should score more goals and that I have been a bit defensive. The gaffer has told me to stay up and I ll get more chances and it paid off.
“Credit to Gateshead, they are a very good team, but we really wanted it. Losing twice to them in the season pushed us on more.”
