Not a Brad day

"Brad Abbott is a baller" - @Ben_Swain.

"Been outstanding this season. Passion, desire, commitment, work rate and a bit of quality and intelligence on the ball. A joy to watch" - @alyon1985.

A case for the defence

There was also plenty of support for the defence, who kept their 16th clean sheet of the campaign

"Those three centre backs look solid!!" - @Matthewthomasuk.

The blustery conditions ensured the game wasn't a classic, which many supporters highlighted

"Not pretty! Major highlight is 3 more points. Though Thewlis looked very lively when he came on, albeit for a limited time. Back 3/Crook looked reasonably solid too" - @creasedogg

"Thought we were a little off it today. Like we’d wished it had been called off but had to play. Maybe I’m wrong and they were playing to set tactics" - @RealRichieB

"I think that’s what you call getting the job done in difficult conditions. Positives are when they play 3 at the back it looks solid as a unit and Scott Garner is always talking and keeping things in check. Thought Thewlis looked sharp when he came on. Other than that an ugly win" - @kissyfur40

"Not the best game but great result keeps the run going" - @scottbrian1974

"Much needed 3 points. 2 more of those this week and that’ll be a great February" - @Drewhuskisson

Bucks don't fizz

Meanwhile, some onlookers weren't too impressed by the threat posed by Telford.

"If Telford were a paint, they’d be magnolia" - @Lord_C_Beckett

"Long time since I've seen such a poor team visit York Street. Seemed to play with no pride or passion, time wasting from the first minute"

Paying the penalty

Some honest supporters thought United were a bit lucky being awarded the spot kick for Arlen Birch's challenge on Frank Mulhern

"Was never a penalty, but a wins a win" - @Brendon_efc
