Jason Alexander will return to the Boston United starting XI for today’s home clash with Lowestoft Town.
Regular stopper Henrich Ravas has been nursing a wrist injury for the past two matches, and will today take his place on the bench.
Alexander has made seven appearances for the Pilgrims since arriving in the summer, including a man of the match performance against Solihull Moors, despite the 4-1 scoreline.
However, he has not featured for the first team since the 2-0 FA Cup defeat to Gainsborough Trinity on September 26.
He will be the only change to the starting XI which beat Gainsborough 1-0 on Monday.
It was hoped that on-loan Sunderland left back Dylan McEvoy would be available for selection after missing the past two matches, the 3-0 defeat at Lowestoft and Monday’s 1-0 home victory.
However, the teenager joines Dayle Southwell (foot) and Richard Jones (knee) on the sidelines as his calf injury continues to cause him problems.
Zak Mills (Achilles) has been cleared to play, despite being a minor injury doubt.
The Pilgrims are keen to rectify their Boxing Day defeat at Crown Meadow, where they went down 3-0.
Manager Greene said he was ‘disgusted’ with his side’s performance on that day and even threatened to bring his squad in for training on New Year’s Day to ensure there were no further festive hangovers.
Despite giving his squad Friday off, the Pilgrims were on the Jakemans Stadium turf putting in some final dead ball drills today before the Trawlerboys’ coach rolled in to town.
