Dennis Greene is calling on Boston United to continue with their ‘fantastic start’ to the Vanarama North campaign.
The Pilgrims join Guiseley and North Ferriby United as the only sides in the division with a 100 per cent record, following two rounds of matches.
After victories against Barrow (2-1) and Brackley (1-0) United are back on the road today at Colwyn Bay (KO 3pm).
“It’s a fantastic start,” Greene said.
“The first five games were going to be really tough, so to take six (points) from six is first class.”
After seeing his Pilgrims finish in sixth spot last season Greene wants his side to go one better and book their place in the play-offs, at least.
To achieve his goal the manager is eyeing an average of two points per game throughout the season.
He added: “(Looking at the fixtures) Id’ have taken seven points from the first four matches, like we did last year.
“But we’re in a better position right now.”
