Kaine Felix is thanking Boston United’s more experienced players for giving him the confidence to express himself.
The speedy winger has been in a rich vein of form in recent weeks.
And he believes that having a solid defence and midfield behind him means he can concentrate on pushing forward, without worrying about constantly having to track back.
“There are a lot experienced players out there,” he said.
“It makes you feel even more confident going forward when you know they’re behind you.
“You’ve got players like Garns (captain Scott Garner) in central midfield and it allows Rene (Steer) at left back and Zak Mills to push on.”
Felix also praised the mood in the dressing room.
He described the United team as a band of ‘brothers’ willing to go that extra mile for one another and manager Dennis Greene.
“The boys are all close,” he added.
“The gaffer tells us what he wants us to do and we go out there and do it.”
