Louis Saebe was the match winner as Boston United’s under 18s knocked county rivals Lincoln City out of the FA Youth Cup last night.
The striker struck 10 minutes into the second period from close range, after Bradley Easey’s effort was parried by Imps keeper Henry Smith.
Easey was gifted his chance after Miles Lynch had headed on Leon Squire’s cross.
The visitors enjoyed plenty of the possession but found young stopper Sam Vince in no mood to pick the ball out of the net - making a vital stop to deny Kegan Everington’s header seconds before the Pilgrims’ winning goal.
And in stoppage time, Steve Welsh’s men almost doubled their advantage.
However, Squire saw his effort rattle the Lincoln crossbar.
