Joe Burgess is desperate to pick up his first three point with Boston United tonight.
The Pilgrims will return to National League North action at Bradford Park Avenue following their blank weekend (KO 7.45pm).
And Burgess, who made his debut in last Saturday’s 3-0 defeat to Stalybridge Celtic after joining from Ilkeston, is hungry to know what victory tastes like with United.
“I like the night games under the lights,” the defender confessed.
“I like it, it’s a better atmosphere, and it would be special if we could get the points as well.
“I’d love to get my first three points there.”
Victory could see Boston move up to third.
Park Avenue - who Boston are yet to face this season - currently sit in the bottom third of the division.
The Horsfall Stadium brings back happy memories for the Pilgrims.
It was there in 2010 that United clinched promotion to the Conference North with a 2-1 play-off final victory over their hosts, Anthony Church’s extra-time winner settling the contest.
In fact, Boston have only lost once down Cemetery Road in their past six visits since dropping out of the Football League, and that took a stoppage-time penalty save to deny Marc Newsham for Park Avenue to collect their points.
Last season the Pilgrims earned a 3-1 victory in Bradford, with the three other meetings on the road ending in draws.
