BOSTON United have added striker Jordan Burrow to their ranks - but fans’ favourite Kevin Holsgrove loks set for the exit door.
Burrow has joined on a one-month loan from League One Chesterfield after impressing managers Lee Canoville and Jason Lee.
The duo have been running the rule over him in reserve matches and Canoville is pleased to have landed his man.
“We’ve signed Jordan Burrow from Chesterfierld. He’s come on loan for a month,” he said.
“He’s a very good player they think highly of him.
“He’s on board and he’ll be available for Saturday.”
Ben Fairclough is also in contention for a place at the weekend after impressing after joining from Eastwood Town.
However, Holsgrove seems unlikely to take part.
He was omitted from the squad as Boston beat Hinckley.
Cryptically, Canoville suggested the player’s future at Boston is over.
He would not say whether travelling - Holsgrove lives in the Wirral and covers 900 miles a week to play and train - is the issue, but said there were ‘no problems’ between the player and management.
He added: “We’ve got to sit down and have a meeting.
“Right now we’re not too sure.
“We felt this (leaving him out) was the right thing to do in the circumstances.
“I’m sure in the next few days people will know what’s happening.”
Holgrove is under contract for the season.
