Former Boston United manager Steve Evans has been confirmed as Leeds United’s head coach after the sacking of Uwe Rosler.

The controversial Scot took training yesterday morning at the club’s Thorp Arch set-up before being announced as the new boss.

Evans - who has also managed Crawley Town, Holbeach United and AFC Stamford - left his post at Rotherham United on September 28.

The 52-year-old guided the Millers to promotion from League One.
