Kyle Dixon will join Boston United tomorrow.

The central midfielder will begin a month-long loan spell from Notts County - with a view to the Pilgrims extending his stay.

“He’s a box to box player, he’s tenacious, he’ll get up and down,” manager Dennis Greene said of the player, who has also had a loan spell at Grantham Town this season.

“At the moment we look really, really lightweight in midfield and we’ve got to add some steel to that.”

Greene has also confirmed that a second player - an unnamed winger - is also likely to join in the week.

Boston handed debuts to full back Dan Pritchard, defender Brad Gascoigne, striker Pa Sulay Njie and midfielder Liam Agnew on Saturday as they scrambled to put out a side due to illness, injury and suspensions.

Agnew has joined on work experience from Sunderland, meaning his stay is indefinite.

Pritchard has played for Nuneaton Giff, Gascoigne has turned out for Corby Town after trialling with United last season and Njie has represented Gambia at youth level.

Greene is yet to decide whether any of those signings - who all penned non-contract deals - will feature again.

Target man Charley Sanders has signed a contract with the Pilgrims that will see him on the club’s books until the end of next season.

However, he will complete this campaign on loan at King’s Lynn Town.
