Rene Steer says that Boston United will fight to the death in every match - because they know they always have goals in them.
The left back says his team feel confident they can claw their way back into any contest due to their goalscoring qualities across the squad.
“We feel that anyone on the pitch can grab a goal at any time,” Steer told The Standard.
“We keep going because we always believe we’ll score.”
Having found the net 64 times so far this campaign, the Pilgrims are the Vanarama North’s fourth-highest scorers, behind AFC Fylde, Oxford City and Barrow.
Fourteen of the Pilgrims’ goals have come from defenders so far this campaign, with midfielders chipping in with a total of 13 goals to aid the tally.
Steer - who has scored three times himself this season - also praised strikers Mark Jones and Dayle Southwell, as well as pointing to Zak Mills’ long throw-in as another weapon in the club’s arsenal.
“We’ve got Zak’s long throw and Dayle and Jona up front,” Steer continued.
“We’re always confident we can score goals, wherever we are.”
