Dennis Greene believes that every remaining match in the Vanarama North will become ‘the biggest game of the
season’ for Boston United.

Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Gainsborough Trinity saw the Pilgrims return to the top five, and if United win their remaining six matches then a play-off spot will be all-but guaranteed.

And Greene is calling upon his Pilgrims to add to their four consecutive wins at they host Worcester City at the Jakemans Stadium on Saturday (KO 3pm).

“We just move onto the next one. That becomes the biggest game of the season against Worcester,” the manager said.

“All we can do is keep going.

“There’s going to be twists and turns still and at some stage all the other results will go against us.”

Finishing the season with 10 straight victories may be a huge ask, but Greene believes that momentum will be key for any team wishing to earn promotion to the Vanarama Premier.

He added: “Everyone’s got a tough run in and we’ve got to keep putting points on the board. We’ll probably have to win five out of the six to be guaranteed to be in there.

“We’ve won four on the spin and we want to win the next six, that’s the idea.

“Hopefully, we can do that and go there (into the play-offs) with massive belief.”
