Dennis Greene is calling on his Boston United side to get back on the winning track when they face Hednesford Town on Saturday.

The Pilgrims lost back-to-back Skrill North matches for the first time this campaign following Saturday’s 4-0 loss at Harrogate Town and the 2-1 reverse against Brackley Town a fortnight earlier.

When asked what that meant for the club, Greene said: “It means we’ve got to go an beat Hednesford now.”

The Pitmen earned a 4-2 victory against Boston in January, in a match where the injury-ravaged Pilgrims had to scramble together a team 24 hours before kick off, handing debuts to Liam Agnew, Pa Sulay Njie, Dan Pritchard and Brad Gascoigne.

United also recalled James Reed, who had left the club for university.

Ricky Miller scored both goals for United on that day.

The Pitmen will arrive at York Street (KO 3pm) without 17-goal Elliott Durrell, who has since joined Wrexham.

United have re-arranged two Skrill North fixtures.

They will now travel to Altrincham on April 1 (KO 7.45pm) and Colwyn Bay seven days later (KO 7.45pm).
