Midfielder Michael Hollingsworth has vowed to learn from his time spent on the sidelines.
The Boston United ballwinner spent a frustrating six matches without a start earlier this season as he slipped down the pecking order.
But since the departures of Danny Meadows and Jay Dowie, the former Nottingham Forest trainee has found opportunities easier to come by once again.
“It was disappointing as everyone always wants to be playing,” said Hollingsworth, who used his time on the bench and in the stands to try to improve his standing in the squad.
“But when you’re not involved you watch the game, you take it in and you learn from it.
“You have to wait. I knew I just had to bide my time until the next opportunity, and then try to take it.”
Hollingsworth made an appearance from the bench on Saturday as Boston United beat AFC Fylde 3-1.
Prior to that, he had started the previous three contests, rekindling his midfield partnership with Conor Marshall.
