Liam Marrs says it was extra special to get the nod from both his colleagues and supporters - after claiming two end of season awards.
The defender, who is currently sidelined with an ankle injury, collected the Players’ Player award and the Boston United Supporters’ Association titles on Saturday afternoon.
“It’s been a great season for myself and the team,” he said.
“It’s always nice to get the recognition of your teammates as they’re the ones who see you in the match and know you in and out.
“I was quite surprised at both, but I’ll take it any day.
“It’s a nice gesture from the fans and they’ve been great all season.
“It’s brilliant to hear your name shouted out.”
Dayle Southwell was named as Boston United’s Player of the Year.
The striker claimed the top accolade, which was voted for by the fans.
