Pilgrims manager Jason Lee has hinted that midfielder Matt Thornhill may be in line to secure a deal with Boston United.
The ex-Nottingham Forest player, who spent last season with Scottish Premier League side Hibernian, turned out for the reserves in their midweek 3-3 draw with Skegness United.
Lee, as always, is keeping his cards close to his chest.
But he has hinted at a move for Thornhill.
He told The Standard: “There’s one player who may get an opportunity with us.
“He’s done well and will train with us and may get another game.”
Lee says there is room in the squad for Thornhill, after winger Joe French and defender Travis Munn were both released this week, neither making a first-team appearance.
Meanwhile, Matt Wilson has played his last game for United.
The midfielder, on loan from Alfreton, needs an operation on his knee.
