Dennis Greene believes Jamie McGhee is pushing for his first start at Boston United.

The winger recently signed from Grantham Town, and has impressed during two entertaining substitute appearances in the victory against Solihull Moors and the draw with Stockport County.

“He’s come on again and made things happen,” Greene said.

“It’s just difficult for him as everyone’s playing well.

“You come to a new club and everyone’s playing well, so it’s hard to put him in there.”

However, Greene isn’t ruling out starting McGhee as the Pilgrims host Gainsborough Trinity today (KO 3pm).

The Boston manager also admitted he and his side, currently fifth in the Skrill North, are looking forward to the contest.

“I look forward to all the games because we’ve got a really good team and I believe we can win all our games,” he added.

“We’re on a real good run.

“That’s three wins, a draw and a loss - and the loss I don’t count in a sense as we had no players at Hednesford.

“There’s no reason why we can’t go on a long run unbeaten.”
