Is Miller set for Boston United return?

Dennis Greene has refused to rule out Ricky Miller returning to Boston United.

The striker netted 28 times last season as the Pilgrims finished sixth in the Conference North.

However, the striker moved to League Two Luton Town in the summer, fulfilling his ambition of breaking into the professional ranks.

Greene has been keeping tabs on the forward, who is yet to force his way into the starting XI.

The Pilgrims manager was quick to stress that any such move may be a long way away, especially as Miller still wants to prove his worth with the Hatters.

Asked whether a loan spell would be likely, Greene said: “That’s down to Luton.

“We expressed to Luton that if they want to put him out on loan we’d take him back.

“I’m still in contact with Luton and John Still (manager).

“It’s not like an approach, but I said to John Still that if you want him out on loan, send him to us.

“But that depends on their injuries and everything else, but if Ricky’s not playing he may want to go and get goals somewhere else.”

Miller was named the Conference North Player of the Year last season.
