Jack Andrews believes his loan spell at Boston United can help make him into a better player.
The 19-year-old left-sided defender made his debut in senior football last night.
But he could do nothing to stop Steve Davies scoring the only goal of the game to earn Gloucester City the points in this Blue Square Bet North fixture.
“Forest under 21s is a good standard, but this is a whole new experience,” said the 19-year-old.
“This is exactly what I want and I’ve come to give it my all, like I do in every game.”
Andrews also thanked Boston boss, ex Forest striker Jason Lee, for giving him his first taste of the man’s game.
“I’m thankful Jason’s given me the chance to come and play,” he added.
“Hopefully, I can take this experience back to Forest with me.”
Andrews is now hoping for a positive outcome as the Pilgrims travel to Ellesmere Port to face Vauxhall Motors on Saturday.
He said: “We’ll go again and look for three points on Saturday.”
