Kallum Smith has no regrets about joining Boston United.
The winger may have made just seven starts out a possible 23 since his March switch from Lincoln United.
However, Smith is determined to work hard at fulfilling his ambition of becoming a regular in the Pilgrims’ starting XI.
And he says he understands why chances have been hard to coem by in recent weeks.
“With the quality we’ve got in the side, you can understand it,” Smith told The Standard.
“There are good players in the team, Jona (Mark Jones), Newey (Marc Newsham), Spencer (Weir-Daley) and Ben Fairclough are all quality.
“With players like that you have to bite yourr tongue and wait your turn,
“But when you get your chance you have to make sure you take it.”
Aged just ???, Smith believes he is far from the finished article.
And he hopes the United fans are yet to see the best he can offer.
He added: “I’m enjoying it here and I don’t have any regrets.
“The standard’s amazing.”
