Mills calls for more Boston United ruthlessness

Zak Mills is challenging Boston United to build upon their recent York Street goal spree.

The Pilgrims have scored 10 times in their past two home matches - beating Lowestoft 5-3 and Colwyn Bay 5-0.

And Mills hopes United can keep that up, as well as translate the ruthlessness into away matches.

“We’ve got the firepower to go anywhere and get three points,” Mills told The Standard.

“We haven’t always scored as many goals as we’d want this season.

“Hopefully, we can find the net a bit more and take some of the pressure off the boys at the back.

“Hopefully, we can now go on to have a good 2015. It’d be nice if we could make it (to the play-offs).”

Mills has had recent stints on the wing as well as in central defence, but admits that playing at right back remains his favourite position.

He added: “I don’t mind it, as long as I’m out there.

“I’d rather be at right back, I’d rather be out there.

“But I’ll play wherever.”
