Nat Brown believes that fellow defenders Joe Maguire and Joe Robinson will both have bright futures in the game.
Since his return from injury, the veteran centre back has partnered both teammates in the heart of the Boston United defence.
And before that, he was able to run the rule over both as he watched from the sidelines.
But having now played up close with both Joes - Maguire, 25, and Robinson, 20 - Brown believes they have the attributes to climb the footballing ladder... as long as they’re not afraid to give as good as they get.
“In my career a lot of centre backs I’ve played with have gone on to make something in the game,” he said.
“Hopefully, if they take it in and give some back as well - they need to learn to give it back as that’s important - they can play at higher levels.”
Brown has now played in the past four matches since overcoming the thigh injury which kept him out of action since pre-season.
The former Macclesfield and Lincoln City man admitted to questioning whether he could have had an impact on the club’s slow start to the season as he waited in the wings.
He added: “It’s frustrating but sometimes you look at the game and think, ‘can I make a difference?’
“You never really know, but it’s a new team and they’ve dug in.
“They’re working together and we want to get better and better.”
