Striker Jordan Nuttell has made the switch from Boston Town to Spalding United.

The striker - who can also play in central defence - completed his move to the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field earlier this week.

He will replace Boston United-bound Mark Jones at the Evo-Stik Division One South outfit.

However, Poachers boss Dan Barrett has moved to replace the striker, bringing in forward Ricky Belding as well as midfielder James Playford and utility man Gary Cross.

All three have previously played for Cleethorpes Town.

“Ricky is a player I have known for a long time as an opponent and a team mate,” Barrett told “He has had a few up and down seasons and he will happily admit that.

“On his day Rick knows where the back of the net is. He will score goals.”

Nuttell (pictured) signed off in style as he found the net on his final match for the Poachers.

However, he couldn’t prevent Town losing 4-2 at Cogenhoe United in the United Counties League Knockout Cup on Saturday.

Matt Kennedy converted a late penalty for Boston.

The Poachers will travel to face Holbeach United in a re-arranged Lincs Senior Trophy fixture this evening (KO 7.45pm).

On Saturday they return to UCL Premier action, hosting Eynesbury Rovers at the DWB Stadium (KO 3pm).
