BOSTON United will be looking to reclaim the Lincs Senior Shield tonight.

They return to Grantham’s Meres Leisure Centre – the site of their last triumph in the competition.

Two years ago, Shaun Pearson’s second-half goal was enough to see of a plucky Grantham Town side.

And tonight (KO 7.45pm), the Pilgrims will hope to see off the Gingerbreads once again.

Victory would mean Lee Canoville and Jason Lee lift their first trophy as Boston United managers.

Ironically, Canoville was the captain on the night last time the Pilgrims won the giant shield.

Last season, United reached the final, only to lose out on penalties to Stamford.

United reached this season’s finale with 2-1 victories over Lincoln United and Gainsborough Trinity.
