Boston United are going in search of their first-ever home victory against Brackley Town - boosted by the return of Carl Piergianni.

The central defender has missed the past two matches - defeats against play-off rivals North Ferriby and Chorley - due to suspension, after picking up his 10th yellow card of the season at Bradford Park Avenue.

But Piergianni will take his place in the heart of the Pilgrims defence alongside Nat Brown for today’s crunch home clash with the Saints.

He is one of two changes made by manager Dennis Greene to the side which conceded a last-gasp winner against Ferriby last weekend.

Lewis Hilliard also returns to the starting XI as Kaine Felix and Joe Burgess drop to the bench.

Mark Jones will miss out through a calf injury, leaving Malachi Lavelle-Moore and Harry Limb as the two striking options on the bench.

Boston have never beaten Brackley at the Jakemans Stadium, claiming just one point in three meetings.

However, they will be looking to break that duck and claim three points in today’s crunch National League North meeting.

United will be looking to leapfrog Tamworth and move back into the play-off spots before the two sides meet on Monday.

But Brackley will be no pushovers, the Saints currently fighting for their lives down in 20th spot in the standings.

Kick off will be at 3pm.
