United in the Community’s United Cheer Team recently competed in their first Future Cheer Jungle Fever competitions in Bolton – with each of the 11 routine and stunt teams bringing home a trophy.

THe competition has a variety of age groups and divisions including mini, youth, senior and open divisions.

The United Cheer Team had four cheerleading groups performing routines, who received two second and two fourth places – Little Bees and Bee Amazed received second place, while Buzzy Bees and Queen Bees received fourth place.

Each of the seven UCT stunt groups brought home trophies with the UCT Gems receiving first place in the Level Two Open Division.

The UCT Crystals received fourth place and Sparkles third place in the Mini Division.

UCT Diamonds received second place, Opals fourth place and Pearls sixth place in the Youth Division, and UCT Jets received fourth place in the Senior Division.

Head Coach and team member Nicola Drummond said: “What a way to begin this year’s cheerleading competition season - by bringing home 11 trophies. I am incredibly proud of every cheerleader who competed at Future Cheer’s Jungle Fever, and for the hard work, dedication and commitment everyone has given at training sessions and at the competitions.”
