Grant Roberts says he’s more than happy to be Boston United’s quiet man.
Since joining the club in January the midfield stopper has seen his teammates net 20 goals in his first sseven matches.
But Roberts, who signed a new deal last week, is happy for others to grab the glory.
“I don’t mind it,” he said. “I’m quite disciplined and know when to go and when not to go.
“I know when to sit and I don’t mind doing the nitty gritty work and the tackling.”
Roberts scored one goal last season, and was yet to open his account in the current campaign prior to last night’s trip to AFC Fylde.
However, he isn’t ruling out joining his teammates on the scoresheet.
He added: “I’m hoping to pitch in with a few, maybe two or three a season from that deeper role.
“There’s plenty of time left.”
