Louis Saebe is being tipped to earn more first-team appearances at Boston United.

The 18-year-old made just his second appearance for the first team during the draw at Stalybridge Celtic on Saturday, replacing Grant Roberts in the second half.

Manager Dennis Greene is hoping that cameos from the youth team product will hold him in good stead to challenge for a first-team spot in years to come.

“He’s done ok when he’s come on,” Greene said.

“He can only improve by getting a bit of game time.

“That’s the big thing. He’s learning this year.”

Greene said he’d also been impressed with Saebe in training.

He added: “He’s training really well and wanting to improve.

“Next year we can try to bring him on some more.”

Saebe also appeared as a sub in the 5-2 victory over Harrogate.
