Dennis Greene has admitted that striker Dayle Southwell’s long-term future may be away from the Jakemans Stadium, but he is warning the forward not to rush into any decisions.
Southwell has netted five goals in as many matches for Boston United this term, following on from the 30 he netted last season.
Greene joked that scouts are boosting the attendance by about 40 each home game.
But he was deadly serious when he added: “He’s getting a lot of attention but he’s still got a lot of hard work left to do.
“He’s enjoying his football here and I’m sure he wants to carry on scoring goals for us.
“The move will come at some point in his career, but I hope it’s not too early.”
