Steve Spriggs will make his Boston United debut at Altrincham tonight.
Boss Graham Drury has thrust the new signing straight into the starting XI.
He replaces Mark Jones, who has joined Gainsborough Trinity since the Pilgrims’ last game - when he scored the winner in the 1-0 victory over Colwyn Bay.
The only other change is Jordan Smith coming in at the expense of Ben Milnes.
The Pilgrims have set up in a 4-4-2 formation, with Dan Haystead in goal, Tom Ward and Phil Watt in the heart of defence and Gary Silk and Gareth Jelleyman in the full back roles.
Smith and Spriggs will play on the wings, either side of ball winner Anton Foster and playmaker Ian Ross.
Leading scorer Marc Newsham (23 goals) will start in attack with Spencer Weir-Daley.
On the bench will be Conor Marshall (back from injury), Nathan Stainfield, James Reed, Milnes and Ben Fairclough.
The Blue Square Bet North’s leading scorer Damian Reeves starts for the Robins.
He has scored 20 goals in the BSBN.
Last season United lost 6-1 at Moss Lane and they have already been beaten 3-1 (FA Cup) and 3-2 (BSBN) at home to Altrincham this season.
Assistant boss Paul Holden takes his place on the bench for the first time tonight, after suffering a Christmas Day heart attack.
