Captain Scott Garner has vowed to bring the good times back for the Boston United fans.
A bumper 3,000-plus crowd watched the Pilgrims face Chorley in Saturday’s Vanarama North play-off semi-final second leg.
And Garner reckons the amber and black army should stick around en masse next year - as he believes something special could be just around the corner.
It is no secret that the well-travelled skipper believes he has finally found a club he feels he can call home.
And he says plenty of that credit belongs to those on the terraces.
“You see how much the fans appreciate us and the other way round,” he said.
“We care a lot about the fans and they care a lot about us.
“It’s why the club works so well, everyone and every part of it works together.
“I’m begging them to come back next season in their numbers and then support us from the start all the way through.
“There’s no reason why we can’t win them promotion next year.”
Garner remains under contract for next season, his third with United.
