Dennis Greene says his Boston United defence are giving him headaches.
The Pilgrims manager believes he has four top central defenders to choose from - Scott Garner, Carl Piergianni, Stefan Galinski and Conor Marshall - and that’s giving him a selection nightmare.
“It’s very positive,” Greene said. “Stef’s played a few games now and Garner’s back. It’s a big headache for me.
“Stef has done superbly well, he’s headed everything he’s had to head.
“He’s been like the other defenders - faultless.”
Garner and Piergianni began as the two first-choice central defenders. But injuries have seen both sidelined at different times, with Galinski and Marshall deputising well and even forming a partnership which kept a clean sheet in the Skrill North victory over Barrow.
Whichever back line Greene selects, he can certainly say his team are improving.
Greene took charge of the final 10 league games last season, where his defence conceded 15 times.
This season, Boston have shipped 10 goals in their first 11 league matches.
