Boston United's Ross Fitzsimons named National League North Player of the Month
Boston United keeper Ross Fitzsimons has been named the National League North Player of the Month.
The 26-year-old stopper kept five clean sheets from seven matches in December, also making two penalty saves in the FA Trophy shootout victory over AFC Fylde.

Hide AdLast month saw the Pilgrims draw with leaders Gloucester City and second-place Chester as well as defeating Blyth Spartans, Alfreton Town, Farsley Celtic and edging past the Coasters.
A 2-0 reverse against Chorley was their only defeat, while Fitzsimons - who joined from Notts County in the summer - was rested for the 3-0 Trophy win at Evesham United.
Brackley's Kevin Wilkin was named Manager of the Month with Gloucester's Mim Mitchell claiming the Volunteer accolade.
United return to action tonight at Bradford Park Avenue (KO 7.45pm).
