Tom Platt looks set for another spell on the sidelines after suffering a second hamstring blow.

The influential midfield stopper limped out of last night's draw at Bradford Park Avenue with less than 20 minutes played.

Platt has already missed four games this season due to a similar injury, with the Pilgrims picking up just four points in that period without him.

"It's his other leg, another hamstring injury," manager Craig Elliott told the Pilgrims' YouTube channel.

"A lot of muscle injuries are happening in this league, I've noticed. Maybe it's because it's stop start, but I think we're not going to see him for a few good weeks now."

Paul Green replaced Platt yesterday, who began the game alongside Andi Thanoj in the centre of the park. Mitch Rose and Connor Dimaio are other midfield options at Elliott's disposal.

Reflecting on last night's 1-1 draw at the Horsfall Stadium, Elliott added: "I think we had the most chances and dominated both halves. On reflection, I think it'll be two points dropped when you look back at it.

"I think, with the wind going straight down the middle of the pitch, it was important to get a goal (early on) and we camped them in their half first half.

"I think they got a bit lucky and some of our finishing was poor, especially from set pieces which we wasted. But I was fairly confident second half we could play some football.

"I was a bit disappointed in the end."

Will Longbottom gave the hosts a 66th minute lead from a corner before Jordan Thewlis, making his first start in five matches levelled instantly.

"It came out the blue really," Elliott said of Park Avenue's goal.

"I think it was their first corner of the half, and we defended that poorly. But it shows the character the lads have got and they got back into it straight away

"i'm really pleased for Jordan to get that goal. It was a great move and a great finish, he deserved that as he played really well.

"If anything we want more from the team in the final third as a whole."
