Boston Town are looking to put their Spalding United woes behind them tonight.

The Poachers travel to the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Fields knowing that victory will earn them a place in the third round of the UCL Knockout Cup.

However, to do that they will have to end their five-game losing streak against the Tulips.

The UCL Premier league leaders have already beaten Town three times this season.

They won 3-0 in the league and 3-0 in the county cup before thumping Town 12-0 in the reverse league fixture in Spalding.

Those defeats occurred before Nathan Collins took over as manager.

And Collins now hopes that facing Spalding will be the perfect tonic for his side to bounce back folowing Saturday’s 5-0 defeat to Huntingdon Town.

He said: “As a player, I always wanted to play another game quickly after a defeat, instead of spending too much time thinking about it.

“I think it’s good for our lads to get another game.

“It’s a cup game and anything can happen.”

Kick off will be at 7.45pm.
