Clipping the Cuckoos’ wings will be perfect tonic for Boston Town

Boston Town boss Ian Dunn is calling on his Poachers to rediscover that winning feeling against Yaxley tonight.

Town suffered a shock 4-0 defeat to struggling Harborough on Saturday, seeing the side’s unbeaten run of six matches abruptly ended.

But Dunnn reckons that victory in tonight’s UCL Premier clash would be the perfect way to get over that hangover.

“We need to get another win on the board to get that confidence back,” he said.

Goalkeeper Harry Ashton may be in line for action tonight after joining from Grimsby Town.

Meanwhile, on loan Boston United youngster James Reed and Jason Field - another ex-Pilgrim - will be among the line-up.

Yaxley - managed by former Boston United employee Brett Whaley - with have Matt Barber in their side following his mid-season switch to the Cuckoos.

“We know all about him and he knows all about us,” Dunn added.

“It’ll be interesting to see what happens.

“It’s funny, but he scored our goal when we drew there.”

Kick off is at 7.45pm.
