Defender Scott Duxbury has become the latest member of last season's Boston United squad to pledge his future to the club.

The former Stockport County, AFC Fylde and Chorley left back will remain at the Jakemans Community Stadium.

Duxbury, 25, was one of the Pilgrims' most consistent performers last season, making 14 appearances despite competition from Josh Askew for much of the campaign.

"I worked very hard last season to get Scott to come to Boston United, so I am therefore delighted he has agreed to sign for another year," Elliott told bufc.co.uk.

"He was getting back to his very best with every game he played – and you could see his confidence and match fitness improving all of the time.

"As a former champion of this league with Stockport County, his experience will be vital as he knows exactly what it takes to win the division with a big club."

He is the 13th player on board for next season, joining teammates Peter Crook, Matt Tootle, Scott Garner, Luke Shiels, Terry Hawkridge, Fraser Preston, Jay Rollins, Jordan Burow, Paul Green, Andi Thanoj, Tom Platt and Connor Dimaio in the dressing room.
