Daryl Clare returns to Boston to take on Town in pre-season friendly

DARYL Clare will make a return to Boston in pre-season.

The former Boston United striker - who scored 24 times to help guide the Pilgrims to the Conference title in 2002 - has been unveiled as the new manager of Northern Counties East League Division One outfit Louth Town.

Among his first tasks will be bringing his new White Wolves side to Boston Town for a pre-season friendly against the Poachers.

Clare and joint Town boss Matt Hocking were previously teammates at York Street.

Other tests awaiting the Poachers before Hocking and Ian Dunn’s first season in the Tattershall Road dug-out include Fakenham (this Tuesday), Lincoln Moorlands Railway, Skegness United, Harrowby United, Bottesford, ICA Sports and their former club Pinchbeck United.
