Former Mansfield Town defender Lewis Gibbens returns to Boston United

Lewis Gibbens is back at Boston United after signing a one-year deal with the Pilgrims.

The defender, who can play as a left back or central defender, has linked up with Craig Elliott for as third time, following two loan spells during his time with Mansfield Town.

Gibbens, 20, made eight appearances in the 2018-19 campaign, scoring in the 5-4 won at Guiseley, returning last season to feature in two further contests.

He was the Stags’ youth player of the season as he helped them win the 2017-18 EFL Youth Alliance North East Division title.

He made his Mansfield debut in August 2018 against Macclesfield Town.
