Boston Town 3 Desborough 2

IT’S Like they had never been away!

Boston Town marked their first home contest in nine weeks by earning a 3-2 victory against Desborough Town in yesterday’s United Counties League premier Division clash.

After a number of postponements, due to bad weather and even a burst pipe, the Poachers could finally return to action at Tattershall Road.

Paul Goodhand gave Boston a 16th-minute lead before Gary Bull doubled the lead early into the second half.

Lorand Borbelly then made it 3-0 to mark his first goal since his return to the side.

However, two late goals from Desborough made it a nervy ending to the contest – but Martyn Lakin’s side held on for three valuable points.
