#LetUsPlay! Boston United join campaign not to null and void National League North season

Boston United have added their backing to the campaign to not axe the National League North and South season.

Last night it was announced that the National League North and South seasons would be declared null and void.

North and South leaders Gloucester City and Dorking Wanderers announced they would be seeking legal advice with AFC Fylde also adding they wished to continue.

Now the Pilgrims have added their weight to the campaign, one of 18 teams who have written an open letter to National League chairman Mark Ives.

An open letter states: “We believe that the 19 clubs at step two that wish to continue should be afforded an opportunity to do so, with play offs and promotions as normal.”

The clubs believe the resolutions of the vote did not offer alternative solutions to null and void.

It also states that promotions and relegations should not be lost.

Worries over commercial and season ticket refunds are also expressed.

Fylde, Gloucester, Havant & Waterlooville, Chelmsford City, Hemel Hempstead Town, Chorley, Hungerford Town, Concord Rangers, Kidderminster Harriers, Dartford, Oxford City, Dorking, St Albans City, Eastbourne Borough, Welling United, Ebbsfleet United and York City have also signed the letter.

Last season Mr Newton and United backed the Promote2 campaign as clubs called for promotions between steps one and two to continue when the campaign was ended early.
